Abandoned Devotion:
Bringing Life to Dry Bones

1. Repentance: Hearts of Stone becoming Hearts of Flesh

Hebrews 10:22 – “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.”

• We have grown numb because our society has bombarded our senses with all kinds of lies. Pray for a breakthrough of God’s truth. Ask God to purge your conscience of every form of deadness and make your conscience and that of your generation alive to God.

2. Wholeheartedness: No Bone Left Without Sinews and Breath

Obedience

1 Samuel 15:22 – “To obey is better than sacrifices and to heed is better than the fat of rams.”

The only way we can make God pleased today is to fulfill His purpose by obeying His will-bottom line. We can get so many reasons and excuses why we think otherwise of an impression God is making in our hearts via the Holy Spirit. But we must remember that “obedience is better than sacrifice,” and there is no substitute.

• Pray for the Lord to give you a heart that desires to instantly obey His word and commands.

• Ask God to show you the excuses you have made to not obey. Ask God to forgive you for your disobedience and today choose obedience instead.

Global Proclamation:
When Dry Bones Live, Then What?

1. Barriers to Seeing the Army Mobilized

Compromise

• Any area where we have given in slightly to the lies of the enemy or our flesh rather than going wholeheartedly after God’s plans and purposes is compromise. Ask God to show you areas of compromise in your life. Pray that the Lord would give you courage to admit the compromise and run to God for forgiveness.

• Pray for message bearers to not let areas of compromise keep them from fulfilling God’s call on their lives. Ask that God would give them a deeper desire for wholeheartedly pursuing God and not letting anything keep them from that.

2. Mobilizing the Army: Prayer for 21 Nations to be Mobilized

Revelation 12:11 – “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”

• Pray for students to walk abandoned to Christ – not putting material wealth, a great job, the perfect house, a cool car, or anything else before their fervent commitment to Christ alone.

• Ask God to awaken a desire to fully commit themselves to Christ, not withholding their very lives from proclaiming the gospel to those who have not heard. Pray that God would show them the power of the blood of Christ that can overcome all things.

3. Possessing Our Inheritance: Prayer for Adopted People Groups

“If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and he would have given you living water.” – John 4:10

Pray that God would stir in this people group a desperate thirst for the living water. Ask the Lord for many in this people group who would search out by whatever means necessary the source of the true living water. Awaken their minds to understand the deep thirst and longing of their heart so that they might see the gift of God, Jesus Christ.
