Abandoned Devotion:
Bringing Life to Dry Bones

1. Repentance: Hearts of Stone becoming Hearts of Flesh

James 2:1 – “My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality.”

• Repent of the divisions, racism and favoritism in your own heart and in the church today in some parts of the world. Pray for a restoration of fervent love for all the brethren. (1 Corinthians 3:3-4)

2. Wholeheartedness: No Bone Left Without Sinews and Breath

Embracing Jesus’ Terms of Discipleship

Read Luke 9:23

Jesus desires that we would be His disciples, but we must count the cost before we fully understand what it means to follow Him. We are called to deny ourselves, take up our cross daily and follow Him. Are we ready to embrace these terms of discipleship?

Pray for the Lord to humble your heart and make you willing to deny yourself in order to pursue God’s will for your life.

• The road of discipleship is lined with obstacles that represent suffering in our lives. Ask the Lord to help you embrace the suffering and learn to lean on Jesus in those times.

Global Proclamation:
When Dry Bones Live, Then What?

1. Barriers to Seeing the Army Mobilized

Ignorance of Scripture

• Message bearers who do not know the Word of God can easily become lost in the schemes of the enemy or subject to the whims of the flesh. Pray for message bearers to have a hunger for the Word of God, to read and meditate on the truths of God’s Word, and to memorize Scripture.

Pray that the Word of God would not just be words on a page, but meaningful truths that go deep in their hearts.

2. Mobilizing the Army: Prayer for 21 Nations to be Mobilized

Mexico

John 6:27 – “‘Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set his seal on Him.’”

Pray for students to give their lives and their labor for the food that endures to everlasting life. Ask God to give them sacrificial lives that would give their own lives so others might know the everlasting life.

Pray for perseverance to go, though the road may be difficult, to the hardest places in the world.

3. Possessing Our Inheritance: Prayer for Adopted People Groups

“And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.” – Acts 2:42

- Pray for these believers to grow in faith and devoted prayer. Ask the Lord to develop them as the persistent widow who would not give up, persevering in desperate dependence upon the Lord, and unwilling to compromise with anything less than the promises of God.
